Tell Apple you want gapless playback

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005

Jason O’Grady, of The Apple Core blog, writes that the iPod is missing one important feature: gapless playback.

As he notes, without gapless playback, CDs that are created so that they sound like one long track but are in fact split up into many individual tracks sound like crap due to the pause between tracks.

Does the lack of gapless playback bother you? Then sign the online petition.

iPodStuff has been redesigned!

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005

Yes, iPodStuff Canada has been redesigned!

Over the course of the last few months, Apple has moved away from the bright colors that were prevalent in the iPod mini, instead opting for black and white in their designs for the iPod nano and iPod video. In keeping with these design changes, iPodStuff Canada has undergone a similar transformation. Gone are the bright colors in favour of the sleekness of black and white.

Of course, there still is some color in the new Apple iPod nano and iPod video, but these are splashed throughout the user interface screens. Similarly, the blues and greens from the iPod nano user interface are used sparingly throughout this redesigned site.

I hope you enjoy the new look. If you have any comments, feel free to express them!
