According to a new story on Times Online, the bad guys are starting to notice the (bad) computing habits of Mac users. With Apple’s market share now around 8.5% — and growing quickly, with sales of almost 2.5 million Macs in the last quarter — these Mac newbies are a tempting target for profit-minded criminals.

Rumor: Next iPod nano to be Multi-Colored
According to a rumor that’s been getting a little traction on the Mac sites, the new iPod nano will be multi-colored. Notice that we said “nano” and not “nanos.” Because while the current nano line is offered in multiple colors, 9to5Mac is claiming that the next nano will have more than one color on each model.

Facebook Connect Coming To iPhone This Fall
oday at the f8 conference Benjamin Ling revealed that Facebook will be releasing a Cocoa framework for the iPhone that will allow application developers to integrate with Facebook Connect. AT&T says initial iPhone sales double that of last year
AT&T said Wednesday that sales of Apple’s iPhone 3G during the first twelve days were nearly double that of last year, this despite shortages that have seen backorders stretch one to three weeks at its retail stores.

Apple Launching App Store Beta Program
Apple is finally going to start rolling out a new beta program in the next few days. Details are slim, but it seems like Apple is capping the total number of beta participants at 100 per app. In order to download a beta app, users will need to submit their iPhone’s SN to the developer, who will then need to flag its eligibility in the store itself.
