Wired article on the iPod Video

Wired has an interesting article on Steve Jobs’ most recent annoucement of the iPod Video.

The revamped iTunes Music Store will offer six TV shows from Disney-owned ABC, including hits Desperate Housewives and Lost. Current and past episodes will be available for $2 a show, encoded at the relatively low resolution of 320 by 240.

The store will also showcase 2,000 music videos from artists like U2, Madonna and Kanye West, which will cost $2 apiece; six short films from Pixar Animation Studios, also $2 each; and an untold number of free video podcasts and movie trailers.

“This is going to be the coolest way to watch movie trailers in the world, ” said Jobs with typical understatement.
