(Great Looking) iPod Shuffle Clones

Engadget (and dap review and AVing Visual News) gave us a preview of a new iPod Shuffle clone by LG Electronics. These hot images of the new LG mp3 player were taken at an electronics expo in Korea and, as is easily apparent, show a display-free device that is stunningly similar to the Shuffle. And just like the iPod Shuffle, the LG player comes in two different capacities: 512 MB and 1GB.

But, LG is offering their mp3 player in three different colors: white, black, and red. (The red version looks awesome!)

This is the best iPod Shuffle clone that I’ve seen out there. And the fact that it is being developed by such a reputable electronics manufacturer is even more interesting.

Engadget also did display another iPod Shuffle clone today as well, the USB MP3 Capsule.

USB MP3 Capsule

The USB MP3 Capsule costs only $39 US, which is a fraction of what the iPod Shuffle costs, but that is because it does not contain any memory to store mp3s to. Instead, you use removable SD cards as the storage area, which, perhaps, gives you even more flexibility. (If you are interested in the USB MP3 Capsule, you can buy it from Unity Electronics.
